After a long two years away (we all know why) the Art Department returned October 18th to our annual Chalkfest with Adam Fabianski. This year’s theme was “SpiderMan into the Spider Verse.” For those who don’t know, Adam is a professional artist and the son of Coach Fabianski who retired from Sandburg last year.
Like before, students from every art class, along with Adam, made a large grid of his illustration and colored the design with sidewalk chalk, working in small sections of this gigantic work. The 16’ x 37’ chalk mural covers the north parking lot sidewalk and will last until the first rains.
Many thanks to Adam again for his design, guidance and unlimited supply of patience. And thanks again to all our art students for their enthusiasm and efforts to create another success.
