Carl Sandburg students in AP Studio Art exhibited their work in a special show at The
McCord Gallery & Cultural Center in Palos Park. McCord’s entire gallery space was
reserved for the exhibit, which ran from January12th – February 9th
to select 2-3 works for the show, in a huge variety of media, content and style.
The reception was a huge success, with attendees coming from as far as the Wisconsin border! Family and friends joined students to celebrate their first formal exhibit at an art gallery. Most significantly, students learned the art of promoting their own work. Lynne Terr, director of the gallery, was quoted as saying that it was one of the most well attended openings she has seen at the gallery.
Congratulations, students!
