Sandburg students win prestigious art awards again.
On January 18, 2025, fifteen Sandburg students competed against students from 40+ high schools in the West Suburban Chicago Regional Scholastic Arts Awards and Exhibition at Downers Grove North High School, Downers Grove, Illinois. Our students entered 28 individual works (drawings, photography, sculptures, and paintings) and 4 portfolios for the regional competition, which adjudicated nearly 70 portfolios and 1,901 individual works.
Eight of our students won big, taking home an arm full of awards. Opal Hester won the top award of a Gold Key. Cameron Molinets (2), Xitlali Moreno, and Samantha Rose took home Silver Keys.
